Finding Your First Job

Pizza guysGetting your diploma is only one step towards getting a job.  The links below will help you prepare to enter the workforce.  Now, I'm not going to go into a lot of detail about how to write a resume or dress for an interview.  There are already a lot of sites that do that.  Google 'resume' and you'll get 385,000,000 hits.  I'm going to suggest a four-year plan so that you'll be fully prepared when it comes time to find a job. I've identified the different kinds of corporate cultures you'll find and the pros and cons of working in each.  I also have some tips on networking, preparing for an interview, planning your career and a note on negotiating your first salary.

Other sites focus on the mechanics of getting a job.  This site will tell you what's really important to find a cool job with people you like.
